• Douglas

Douglas has been deemed medically fragile due to his neurological issues. The rescue is dedicated to treating those conditions throughout his lifetime.

  • Rocco

Rocco Taco Rodriguez arrived to rescue with a laundry list of medical conditions. Liver function and disease were the most concerning. Upon arrival we weren’t sure he would make it. Today, he is living his best life in our hospice program - in a private home situation.

  • Porter

Porter was born at the rescue and adopted out at 9 weeks old. Unfortunately, he was not properly socialized and was living in home where he felt he needed to protect his person. At 11 months old, Porter was returned to the rescue for training. It soon became evident that he would not be able to be rehabilitated 100%. Porter now lives happily at the sanctuary.

  • Pork & Little Pig

Pork and Little Pig are sanctuary residents. After losing his brother, Beans, Pork was in need of a buddy. Enter Little Pig - who is full of life and shenanigans. They can often be found on the rescue Facebook in all kinds of adventures.

  • Frannie

Frannie is quite possibly the most “broken” animal to ever come into our care. Her entire little body was broken when she arrived. Frannie was a stray when she was found so we have no idea what her history is. She has now healed with some extreme deformities and partial blindness. She will remain at the sanctuary for life.

  • Nyla

Nyla is a 15-year-old Shih Tzu who is tiny and blind. Due to her fragile medical condition, it has been decided that the best course of action is to place her in a long-term medical foster home for the rest of her life. This will provide her with the stability and love that she has been in need of for many years.

  • Snowball

After Snowball’s momma passed away he lived in a car for over a year. As winter approached for the second time his dad made the difficult decision to surrender him to rescue so they could both get into a warm home. He had been unable to find a place up until then that would accept Snowball - so he chose to live in his car. Today both are getting the help they need. Snowball has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and will live out his days in a sanctuary home.

  • Toby

Toby is the grouchiest goblin at the rescue. We’re not quite sure what he went through before arriving to us but it soon became quite evident that his behavior needed to be closely monitored and managed. Toby enjoys his days napping and begging for treats…and chewing on anyone brave enough to cross him. He is certainly not the boy for everyone but he’s exactly who we will celebrate all of his days.
